Taylor Momsen has seemingly mocked the music career of The Hills star Heidi Montag.

Speaking to Sugar, the Gossip Girl actress confirmed that she co-wrote Montag's 2009 single 'Blackout' when she was only 9 years old.

Asked for her opinion on reality TV stars who move into music, Momsen said: "When I was 9 I wrote a song called 'Blackout'. And I think that Heidi Montag just sang a song that a 9-year-old wrote. So that's what I think about that."

When quizzed on her self-proclaimed status as a rock musician, she explained: "That was never a choice for me. It wasn't 'should I go pop or should I go rock?' I'm a rock chick living in a pop world.

"Rock says. 'F**k' you' and pop says, 'I like to dress'. I wouldn't wanna put out a pop record. It's pointless and it's not my style."

Regarding comparisons between her and fellow teenage star Miley Cyrus, Momsen added: "I listen to Oasis and The Beatles, so I don't know what Miley Cyrus is singing about.

"But apparently we're the same age so people thing we're the same or something? Oh and apparently I'm a worse role model than her. Well, I probably am!"

Asked about her 'angsty' reputation, she said: "Of course it's justified! I'm as angsty as s**t. I'm a teenage girl in a rock band - what do you expect?

"But it's not like I'm mean, I just don't give a f**k what people think. I don't think I'm different from other teens, it's just people talk about me more."

“IT’S FUNNY—I guess The Beach Boys made California seem so beautiful and glamorous, and maybe it was. But you go to the Hamptons now and it’s wonderful,” says Newport Beach native Kelly Rutherford, unapologetically. Now filming her fourth season of Gossip Girl in Manhattan, she has officially put her Los Angeles house on the market and is hoping to spend much of her downtime on the East End.

She’s hardly a recent transplant. Though she spent three notable years in Los Angeles starring in the ’90s hit Melrose Place, as she explains it, much of her childhood was bicoastal, in a life not far removed from a Gossip Girl storyline. “My mom was a model for Bill Blass, so we were always between New York and California,” says Rutherford. “Then I studied acting in New York and was back in LA for work, but I kept being drawn back to New York, which I love.”

Did bouncing between coasts with a model mother give her some quality source material for embodying her role as Lily Bass, the most sought-after socialite on the Upper East Side? “Oh, definitely. I draw on my mother and her friends a lot for this role,” Rutherford, 41, laughs. “After certain episodes air, my mom will say, ‘That part wasn’t me, was it?’ And after any of the bitchy scenes, she’ll say, ‘I never acted like that.’ Blake [Lively, her on-screen daughter] and I are the exact age difference that my mother and I are, so I understand my mother a lot better these days.”

On a show where the median age hovers somewhere around 21, one might think Rutherford would feel protective of the show’s young stars, who could single-handedly keep Us Weekly, Gawker and Perez Hilton in business. But she brushes that notion aside to give them credit. “Yes, they’re adorable and I love them all. When I’m getting my makeup done and listening to them, I smile thinking, Wow, these young adults—grown-ups, practically—are just so smart, have great senses of humor and all these other talents they’re pursuing. Do I worry about them? No. I think they can all take care of themselves,” she says.

And anyway, Rutherford doesn’t have time to worry about her on-screen charges—she has two children waiting for her at home on the Upper East Side: son Hermès, three, and one-yearold Helena, who are clearly her focus.

“My job isn’t work. When you have two kids at home, being around all these adults and playing dress-up with somebody doing my makeup a few days a week, you’re like, ‘This is great!’” she says. “I really focused on my career when I was younger so that I would be in the place where I am now, not worried that I’m not going to Europe every five minutes. This summer Blake and Leighton [Meester] were filming in Europe,and I thought, If there’s one time I’ve ever been happy about not going to Paris, it’s now.”

Though she says she never imagined herself raising kids in Manhattan, Rutherford sees life as a mother in the Big Apple as a blessing with a wealth of conveniences and opportunities: She often shuttles her kids among art classes at East Side museums, play dates in the West Side’s Hippo Playground and Super Soccer Stars, often grabbing meals at Le Pain Quotidien while on-the-go. “The day-old organic bread is perfect for Helena’s teething, and Hermès can get his organic Nutella,” she says, which doesn’t sound entirely unlike Lily Bass. “We love to go to Via Quadronno and Serafina, too.”

Though clearly recognizable, in person Rutherford also looks nearly a decade younger than her onscreen persona, opting for a more casual—though no less fashionable—mien. (Today at The Surrey’s Bar Pleiades, she wears no trace of makeup, a white sundress and a floppy straw hat.) “There is some crossover in our wardrobes, but I would say I’m sort of J.Crewmeets- Hermès. My accessories are really nice and my day-today clothes are pretty casual. I have to be able to throw everything in the wash,” she notes.

And yes, her son’s name isn’t so much a nod to the Greek messenger of the gods as it is a testament to her love for the French luxury-goods house she favors. “I was just in there the other day and thought, I have to keep reminding myself that I should really only shop here,” she says. “I shouldn’t spend money anywhere else.”

Now we’re back to sounding a little more like the mother Bass, which perhaps explains how she landed the role so easily. “My son was about six months old and I didn’t have a babysitter, so I called my friend Francine and I said, ‘Can you please just drive me over there? They just want me to read on film and then I can run out,’” she explains. “And that’s basically what I did. I ran in, read off the page into a camera and left.”

Though she’s been spared most of the TMZ-style stalking her costars have been subjected to, she hasn’t been entirely immune. In December, while four months pregnant, she filed for divorce from the father of both her children, someone she breezily mentions when I inquire about a person who has been falsely tweeting under her name. “It’s probably my ex-husband,” she says, and then jokes, “I haven’t caught up with my character yet; she’s five in a row now. I’m still good, thank you.”

'Piranha' sequel in the works

Well that didn’t take long.

After opening to $10 million at the weekend boxoffice, Dimension has announced it’s working on “Piranha 3D - The Sequel.”

The company didn’t go into details as to whether or not director Alexandre Aja would return or if any writers had been hired to pen the script, but producer Mark Canton will be back.

“We are thrilled that audiences are not just loving 'Piranha 3D,' but cheering for it,” said Canton in the announcement. “And it's fantastic that so many critics are really getting the movie and recommending it. We can't wait to get to work on the sequel.”

“Piranha 3D,” which cost around $24 million to make, is one of those rare horror movies to enjoy rave reviews. The flick scored 81% on review-aggregator Rotten Tomatoes. TheHollywood Reporter called it “a pitch-perfect, guilty pleasure.”

Blake Lively & Scarlett Johansson Compete for 'Gravity'

The lead role in 'Gravity', an upcoming thriller, has come down to Blake Lively & Scarlett Johansson, who would star opposite Robert Downey Jr.

The film centers around a female astronaut who is left stranded in space after a mission goes bad and is forced to find a way home. It's Cast Away meets Apollo 13, and should be a meaty role that takes one of the sexy starlets to a new level, an Angelina Jolie-level. Who will win the race for space?

Both actress know about playing female leads in noteworthy films. We'll see Lively next summer alongside Ryan Reynolds (Johansson's husband, ironically) in Green Lantern, and next to Ben Affleck in September for The Town. Johansson on the other hand got her butt-kicking on in Iron Man 2 earlier this year and is the only female casted thus far in the highly anticipated flick, The Avengers. Angelina Jolie would've headlined this project had her price tag not been so large. Recently, audiences have told us that big names don't always equal big success anyways, with The Hangover & Avatar showing off the 'no star' trend.

Gravity will be directed by Alfonso Cuaron, who adapted films such as Great Expectations & Children of Men. It's great to see another strong female role that could possibly see Johansson or Lively stuck in a space station, or space, for an ungodly amount of time -- it's usually men that go crazy alone in space, ala Sam Rockwell in Moon. May the best actress win!

For three seasons, Lively-owner of the most talked-about hair in television since the heady days of the early-Friends Jennifer Aniston shag-has played van der Woodsen on the CW's hit series Gossip Girl, guiding her through myriad breakups, scandals, falls from grace, and spirited comebacks amidst the show's hyperreal vision of misspent youth in uptown New York. Now as the series enters its fourth season, the plot for Serena has begun to further thicken. Will she return from her summer vacation in Paris as a new woman, or out to settle old scores? Will she get back together with Dan? Will Nate come calling once again? What will she wear? But just as the arc of Serena's sordid life on Gossip Girl has brought about new priorities, changes, and directions, so too has the trajectory of Lively's career away from the show signaled a shift in direction for the 23-year-old actress.

Born in Tarzana, California, and raised in Burbank, Lively grew up in a show-business family: Her father, Ernie, has had a long career as a character actor; her mother, Elaine, is a talent manager; and her older siblings Eric, Robyn, Jason, and Lori are all current or former actors. (Ed. note: Robyn memorably performed a now somewhat iconic rap in the '80s film Teen Witch.) Five years ago, at the age of just 17, she made her acting debut alongside Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera, and Amber Tamblyn in the sleeper hit The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants(2005), a film about a group of teenage girls who, as groups of teenage girls are wont to do in movies, pass around and each wear a pair of jeans that remarkably fits everyone over the course of one very special summer. Roles in little-seen movies such as Accepted (2006), Elvis and Anabelle (2007), as well as a Traveling Pants sequel (2008) followed.

Recently, though, Lively's work has taken on a decidedly more ambitious scope. She shared the title role with Robin Wright in last year's The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, Rebecca Miller's offbeat drama about a woman in the throes of a midlife crisis who recalls her youth as she sets off to rediscover who she is and what she wants (Lively played the younger version of the character). She also spent four months earlier this year in New Orleans playing the female lead in Green Lantern, Martin Campbell's reimagining of the masked comic-book superhero whose green ring confers its wearer with certain all-consuming powers. (As comic book aficionados know, there have been several Green Lanterns-the one in Lively's film is played by Ryan Reynolds.)

Perhaps the most radical role Lively has taken on yet comes in this month's heist thriller The Town. Directed by Ben Affleck and based on Chuck Hogan's novel Prince of Thieves, the film follows a crew of men from the blue-collar Boston neighborhood of Charlestown who conspire to rob a bank. The crew is headed up by Doug MacRay (Affleck), a local career criminal with strong ties to the neighborhood-so strong, in fact, that the neighborhood itself, its members bound together by an implicit code of silence, provides a sort of safe house for the men as the FBI pursues them. Things get more complicated when MacRay becomes infatuated with the bank manager (Rebecca Hall) he held at gunpoint during the heist. As his team sets off on a cat-and-mouse game with the FBI, he develops a difficult, if not entirely unrequited relationship with her that serves as the centerpiece of the film's dramatic tension. Lively plays MacRay's troubled ex-girlfriend, Krista, who couldn't be more un-Serena van der Woodsen-like as a hard-bitten but self-destructive 29-year-old single mother who deals drugs to get by and still harbors feelings for her disengaged, distracted former flame (although, at the rate she's going, Serena might get there eventually).

With a heavyweight cast rounded out by Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Cooper, The Town represents a turning point for Lively: the opportunity to play a character role in a substantial film that, perhaps more than anything she has done thus far, has forced her to venture beyond her comfort zone-and preparing for it required Lively to go to some places that Serena van der Woodsen, even at her most desperate, would fear to tread. Affleck recently caught up with Lively as she flitted between the set of Gossip Girl and the couture-week fashion shows in Paris.

BEN AFFLECK: Somebody told me that you're in Paris now. Is that true?

BLAKE LIVELY: Yeah, I'm in Paris!

AFFLECK: Are you liking it?

LIVELY: Oh, my gosh, it's so amazing here. It's couture fashion week, so it's been like a fairy-tale Paris experience.

AFFLECK: You don't have to tell me . . .

LIVELY: [laughs] Oh, my goodness . . . I have to leave on Saturday. I was in New Orleans for four months shooting Green Lantern, so it's a nice transition back to New York-you know, because of all the French influence.

AFFLECK: You've been to Paris before?

LIVELY: Yeah. I went to Paris for the first time with my brother when I was 15. He thought I should be more cultured, so he convinced my parents to let me out of school for a week and a half, but we ended up traveling around Europe for two months. We went to London-to Cambridge. We went to Cologne, Brussels, Rome, Florence . . . We stayed everywhere from hostels to nice hotels. Then we ran out of money, so we had to sneak all the way back to London on trains to take our flight back home. So it was a very different experience. [laughs]

AFFLECK: It sounds like a great experience.

LIVELY: It was. You know, running around in wet clothes when it was freezing outside and staying in these hostels . . . And, of course, I packed way too much. We were backpacking, and I had all of my fancy stuff. But it was fun being out on my own for the first time at 15. It was very different from going to fashion shows and wearing ball gowns. As wonderful as it is, I actually think I preferred doing it the other way.

AFFLECK: Is this the same brother I met?

LIVELY: Mm-hmm . . . Eric. He's the one who got me into acting.

AFFLECK: He got you into acting?

LIVELY: Yeah. When we were in Paris, every time we would stop to eat . . . This is a bold sentence for me, but I would dread eating, because every time we sat down for a meal he would start questioning me, saying, "What are you going to do for a living? What do you think you want to do?" He was just being a good big brother. Because of my interests he decided that I should be a film producer. I did not want to be an actor because my whole family did it-going into the family business was the last thing I wanted to do. But then about a year later he was running lines with his friend and he talked me into going to this audition. I just did the first one to be nice because he was always so great to me, but then I ended up going to a few more auditions. I didn't have an agent. I would just write down that I was with my brother's agency, and then the agency would get calls and say that they had no idea who I was. But after a few auditions I got The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, which was my first job.

AFFLECK: That was a big hit movie, right? I mean, it was successful.

LIVELY: Well, I mean, yeah! It was on par with Avatar . . . I mean, for its time. [laughs] Avatarhas exceeded it now.

AFFLECK: The blue traveling pants.

LIVELY: Yes, they were blue-and the characters were blue because they weren't with each other.

AFFLECK: But it was really successful. You did a sequel, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.

LIVELY: Yes, it was successful. It was an amazing first job. And all I had to do was miss finals at school? So I thought, "Well, this is great. I'll just try out acting and see if I like it." I missed my finals, I was away shooting for the summer, and I came back home. But rather than pursue acting, I decided that I wanted to finish out my senior year. I thought, I'll finish high school and then I'll hold off going to college for a year and just try it. But here I am still acting. Things worked out all right.

AFFLECK: So far, so good. You come from a whole acting family. Did you ever feel kind of down on it? I mean, I was a child actor, so I know there was a definite downside to it for me, although I started a bit younger than you did. It sounds like you had a pretty good experience, so maybe you didn't feel this way.

LIVELY: I have a big, close, loving family, and they're all from the South, but because so many of them are actors, everyone was very normal about it. It was just like any job to them. They always came home and talked about it around the dinner table the way any family talks about work, but it wasn't anything special. I think for a lot of people, acting becomes a lifestyle, especially when you're living in Los Angeles. But despite the fact that my family moved to L.A. and I grew up there-in Burbank, which is like a small town inside of a big city-I don't feel like I ever had any sort of Hollywood upbringing. So I don't remember there ever being a downside. There were only upsides. I got to travel and visit my family on set. I got to eat craft service. I actually think that was the reason I got into acting: the free food. I literally remember on my first job being like, "Yes! I get to have craft service every day!"

AFFLECK: Are your parents involved in your career? Are they supportive?

LIVELY: No. [deadpan] They disowned me.

AFFLECK: Well, there's a spectrum, right? I'm sure they were very involved when you were younger, and then you had to make some segue or transition away from that.

WHEN I SAW MY FIRST MOVIE, I WAS FINE, BUT I THOUGHT, 'OH, MY HEAVENS. IT'S NOT ABOUT JUST STANDING THERE ON MY MARK AND SAYING THESE LINES. I NEED TO ACTUALLY ACT'.—BLAKE LIVELY

LIVELY: They were as involved in my life as any parents are in any person's life. It was always important to them when I was growing up. I didn't start acting until I was 16, but when I was a kid people always asked why I didn't act like the rest of my family, and they would say, "Well, she needs a childhood! We would never allow her to do that even if she wanted to."

AFFLECK: But they didn't stop you from pursuing your first job.

LIVELY: No. I got my first job when I was 16, but I didn't get another one until I was 17, after I was done with high school.

AFFLECK: We met when you came to do The Town, and when you turned up, I was a little taken aback. I was like, "How did you learn this Boston accent? How did you learn all of this stuff?" Which I thought was hard to get because I had been doing readings with all of these actresses in New York and L.A., and it was just hard to find the right person. You were by far the best, and when I asked you how you got everything down, it turned out that you had tried to work with this one dialect coach, and then tried another one, and then just started doing all of this incredibly thorough, diligent, independent research on your own-seeking out people who spoke the way your character does, seeking out people whose own life experiences you could draw upon. How did you get to the point where that became your approach? Because it's certainly nothing I ever did at any point in my twenties. Where does that instinct come from?

LIVELY: I don't know. I think it comes from the fact that I never really thought about acting as a child. It wasn't like, "This is the career that I want to pursue." So when I first started acting, I was more concerned with just being on a set and all of the woes of that, and I didn't really know it or understand it as a craft yet. When I saw my first movie, I was fine, but I thought, "Oh, my heavens. It's not about just standing there on my mark and saying these lines. I need to actually act." It was great to have my first opportunity be such a big role, but also not great because all of the
mistakes I made-the entire learning process was on the big screen for everyone to see. That's been something, movie by movie, that I've been able to grow and learn from-that I always need to work harder to be better because it's still a new craft for me.

AFFLECK: Did anyone help you learn that?

LIVELY: I just did it on my own. I've never worked with an acting coach, but my parents had acting classes and I grew up around them my whole life just because I didn't have a babysitter. I'm actually a very shy person-that's a big secret, so don't tell-but being in those classes pushed me to break out of that a little bit. It's like nature versus nurture: I'm naturally very shy, but I was brought up in a way where I had to get up and get out of that.

AFFLECK: I wouldn't really describe you as shy. That hasn't been my experience of you.

LIVELY: Well, I had to be bold with you! I had to be brave because this role was terrifying. But it was all smoke and mirrors because I read the script and I didn't know how I couldn't do it. I loved this character so much. I was a little selfish in wanting to do it because I also thought, Well, maybe I'm not the best person for this, but I really want it. I didn't know how to do a good Boston accent, so I went and got a dialect coach, and she was really good, but it was a real proper accent I was learning, and my character is from the projects. But she'd lived in Charlestown her whole life, and the kind of accent she would have had is very different from an across-the-board Boston accent. So one of my best friends, Jennifer, who is a hairdresser onGossip Girl, is from Boston and she had her family come down to New York one weekend.

AFFLECK: Where are they from?

LIVELY: Dorchester-or Dorchestah, I should say.

AFFLECK: It's good to be represented on Gossip Girl.

LIVELY: Oh, she represents big-time. But it helped that I'd been around her for years. It gave me a foundation to not only do this character but also to try to capture something more complex about her. I had a greater appreciation for who she is. So anyway, I sat with Jennifer's family and had them each say things to me over and over. I was so embarrassed, but I heard what I needed to hear.

AFFLECK: You also seemed to understand that it wasn't just about an accent necessarily, but a certain worldview.

LIVELY: Well, the accent you can always work on, but it was the heart of the character that I felt like I had to capture. You can look at her as a bad person, or you can look at her as a good person who has been put in certain circumstances and does what she needs to do to get by. But whereas in a story she might be considered the bad guy, I just don't believe that things are that simple in life. I think certain people are the way they are for certain reasons that we can't necessarily judge without knowing. So that's how I approached it.

AFFLECK: You brought a sense of complexity and nuance to the character that I felt was really important. And then I also found it impressive that even though your schedule on Gossip Girlwas really tight, you made the time to come to Boston and do some firsthand research.

LIVELY: Well, I had to come to Boston because they told me, "Ben said you have to come to Boston if you want the part." [laughs]

AFFLECK: That's not true. They said I wasn't interested? Really?

LIVELY: Well, no. They just said, "Ben is not going to come to New York. You're too young for the part, but if you feel like you want to pursue this, you can take a train to Boston."

AFFLECK: And you did, which I thought was cool. You spent a lot of time with some of these girls from the real projects who showed you around and showed you their lives. You got into a whole world that I imagine is very different from Burbank-and probably very different from what you experienced on Traveling Pants. What was that like? Were you nervous? Were you excited?

LIVELY: For me this job was so great because it wasn't just about what I did onscreen-every day was a journey. It's interesting because as actors we're in a position where we can go and experience other peoples' lives a little bit-even if it's just a drop of what it is. So for me, personally, it was really amazing to experience something that's unlike anything I'd ever experienced. These girls were so kind to me. We just kind of hung out. They weren't excited about me being on Gossip Girl. They couldn't have cared less. They were actually kind of motherly-even though many of them were only 16 years old. They're hard as nails, but in a really wonderful, positive way. So we just hung out at their houses in the projects and they told me stories about their families and husbands and cousins who were bank robbers, and how this person ended up in jail and ratted on that person, and about the code of silence-which, for people who don't know, is a way certain criminals were able to avoid being arrested. There's this old-school idea of, it's not your problem, you stay out of it. These girls live in such a small world that there's a little bit of a time warp. It's contained in a lot of ways and the families are so close because they've lived together for generations. There's this really strong Irish blood there. It's like there's a sense of family with each other. Then, when I was talking to them about death . . . We were walking around one day and there was a baseball game going on in a park for this boy who was 16 and had just been murdered, and everybody was happy and celebrating him and wearing T-shirts with his name on them. I thought, "In my town, if something like this had happened, everybody would just be a disaster, and saying how tragic it is. People wouldn't be able to recover." But here it was more of a celebration of this boy's life. It wasn't that people weren't sad about it. They would just say, "It's something that happens and we need to be able to move on with life. We still have all these kids around us, and we still have to be parents and siblings for them." It was such an interesting thing for me to tap into, that mind-set.

AFFLECK: One of the girls you spent time with was the girlfriend of a guy who is in prison for armed robbery and who I based the main character on in a lot of ways. She told me that she was driving around in the car with you through the projects and she would see a friend of hers on the street and she would be like, "I got Hollywood in my car!"

I FEEL LIKE THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE I ADMIRE FOR SO MANY REASONS THAT I CAN'T LOOK AT ONE PERSON'S LIFE AND SAY, "I WANT THAT LIFE." I WANT TO MAKE MY OWN HISTORY.—BLAKE LIVELY

LIVELY: [laughs] Oh, god. She was amazing. That's true.

AFFLECK: A lot of the people you based the character on came to the set to watch you work.

LIVELY: Well, you hired them as extras!

AFFLECK: But they approved of what you were doing-they liked it.

LIVELY: They liked it, but I was scared. I really didn't want to fail them. They would come in between takes and direct me. [laughs] They'd give me syllable readings.

AFFLECK: I know. I had to be like, "You know what guys? Thank you, but . . ."

LIVELY: They only did that a couple of times. They would come up and say, "You're doing great, but it's Chaahhlstown, not Charlestown."

AFFLECK: You know, before we did The Town, I wasn't superfamiliar with everything you'd done.

LIVELY: You weren't?

AFFLECK: Well, I was a fan of yours, but I didn't have the full, in-depth familiarity. But then I got to see The Private Lives of Pippa Lee on DVD, and I just thought all of the acting in that film was great. It was directed by Rebecca Miller, and she's super-heavy-duty. What was she like to work with?

IVELY: Oh, gosh. She's such an incredible woman. She's one of the most interesting people I've ever met. The script was really wild. It was entirely hers, because she wrote the book that the film was based on, and she'd worked with the story for so many years. The movie is a woman's story, and it contains all these vignettes and interactions that she has experienced throughout her life, but it's told in such a different way. I said to Rebecca, "The script is great, but it's a little wild. How do you expect people to connect to something that's so out there at times?" And she said, "Most people's version of reality is two people sitting in a room, and it's bare, and they're sitting there, and it's simple and they're just having a conversation. But to me that's not reality at all. When I'm sitting in a room, talking, there are all of these things going on in my head. There are all these thoughts and emotions and bubbles and colors." She said, "This isn't a story about anybody except for this one woman, and that's what's happening in her mind. To me, that's reality."

AFFLECK: See, if I were a real director, I would have said something informed and brilliant like that. I was just like, "I don't know. Come on, let's shoot." So I was basically right to feel insecure.

LIVELY: [laughs] I don't know if you should have felt insecure, but I would call Rebecca between scenes on our film and say, "Ben's telling me to do this thing, but he's so wrong."

AFFLECK: I remember one scene we shot that was really important. It was a scene with you and Jon Hamm in this bar. It meant a lot to me-I had really been anticipating it. You had thePippa Lee premiere that night and you really wanted to be there. It was important to you. So you said to me, "Listen, I would like to be able to go to this thing. Do you think we'll get done in time?" And I said, "Yeah, we're going to be able to get you out. The scene is only going to take six hours to shoot." We got to the middle of the six hours and we hadn't even gotten your coverage done-it was clear that you weren't going to make it. But instead of complaining or being upset, you stayed, and were there, committed to getting the scene right. I thought that revealed a lot about who you are as an actress and the kind of focus and attention you have. I think there's a tension in those choices between the work that you have to do, and the things that will make that work better-in my experience anyway. And as you get more successful, the tension only gets greater as you're pulled in all of these different directions. How do you anticipate navigating that tension?

LIVELY: I love what I do. I love my work. So, you know, of course I wanted to be at the premiere, but I had a job to do, and so I had to be on the set in Boston and be a part of it. At the end of the day, a premiere is a premiere. It's not somebody living or dying. So for me, this other stuff-well, the perks-is not the reason I do the job. Couture fashion week, getting to meet Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano and Christian Louboutin is so exciting. It's like being a little girl and looking at these designers saying, "Can you imagine one day seeing all of those ball gowns?" But at the end of the day I wouldn't be there without my job. There are a few things in life that matter above all else: your family, your friends, your loved ones. But everything else comes and goes-especially in this business where everything is so of the moment.

AFFLECK: Is there anyone whose career you admire?

I JUST DON'T BELIEVE THAT THINGS ARE THAT SIMPLE IN LIFE. I THINK CERTAIN PEOPLE ARE THE WAY THEY ARE FOR CERTAIN REASONS THAT WE CAN'T NECESSARILY JUDGE WITHOUT KNOWING.—BLAKE LIVELY

LIVELY: People always ask me that and I always answer with men. Which is not to say that there aren't incredible women in this business, but I feel like men are still given much better opportunities. I feel like there are so many people I admire for so many reasons that I can't look at one person's life and say, "I want that life." I want to make my own history.

AFFLECK: I always have to remind myself how young you are. You were 3 when Good Will Hunting [1997] came out.

LIVELY: [laughs] Not quite.

AFFLECK: And you've never even seen it. That felt good to me.

LIVELY: You were in Good Will Hunting?

AFFLECK: But you have your head on pretty straight. You and I had to do a sex scene on the first day of shooting, and you were very poised and comfortable about it-more mature than some of the crew members.

LIVELY: Well, I have a big family and no one ever treated me like a child. They always treated me like an adult, like an equal. But with acting, I think half of it is just acting confident. We stand on these red carpets and pose in these dresses, but we're all only so confident. It doesn't mean we think we're great looking or anything. It's all a façade. But the sex scene was really awkward. It was my first day, so thank you for that.

AFFLECK: You're welcome.

LIVELY: I guess it was good to break the ice. [laughs]

AFFLECK: So before you got to Paris, you were down in New Orleans doing Green Lantern, which is a big Hollywood superhero movie. You're playing the secretary of the Air Force or something?

LIVELY: Secretary? I own the company! I play a fighter pilot. Are you intimidated now?

AFFLECK: So you're playing a much older character-a person with a lot of responsibility in regards to airplanes and that kind of stuff.

LIVELY: Did you see Pearl Harbor [2001]? My character has the same kind of position as the lead character in that.

AFFLECK: [laughs] Funnily enough, that doesn't bring anything to mind. I must have blacked that out. So who's more attractive: Jon Hamm or Ryan Reynolds?

LIVELY: Pete Postlethwaite.

AFFLECK: See, that's the quote that's going to get pulled out and be in bold letters above the interview. So when people read it, they get to this part of the conversation and they say, "Well, that was just bullshit." [Lively laughs] I do have to say though, Pete Postlethwaite is an attractive guy. He is fabulous. And Green Lantern sounds pretty good.

LIVELY: Oh, my gosh. Martin Campbell, our director, has been incredible. He's one of the hardest-working people I've ever met. He spent a lot of time working with us, trying to create the main story line between these two people so there is something you can connect with in the middle of everything else. This is sounding not so interesting anymore, the way I'm talking about it . . . Things blow up.

AFFLECK: So how old are you really?

LIVELY: I'm 23.

AFFLECK: You're 23. When you look at the future and the choices you're going to make, do you think at all about how you want to approach them?

LIVELY: I look at anything in life like as long as you do what you believe in, then it's going to work out. Because even if other people don't like what you're doing, you're happy because you did what you believed in.

AFFLECK: Well, that was the last question. I didn't get to some others I wanted to ask you, like, "Which day did you find yourself most impressed by me?"

LIVELY: Or am I happy that you don't wear cashmere turtlenecks anymore.

AFFLECK: Oh, Jesus Christ. I don't know what pictures you're looking at. How about: Would you work with me again? When your price is too expensive, can I hire you for scale? I want you to say it now so it's in a magazine.

LIVELY: Oh, gosh. You're so tacky! I told you already that I'd never work with you again. Jason Bourne maybe.

AFFLECK: Do you remember when you and I had worked together for months and we were wandering around in Boston and at one point I just randomly pointed to a place and said, "Matt Damon lived there." And you turned to me and were like, "What? You know Jason Bourne?" [Lively laughs]

LIVELY: Of course I'll work with you again.

AFFLECK: I'm going to introduce you to Jason Bourne so that you'll be grateful.

LIVELY: I'm already grateful.

AFFLECK: Now stop trolling the Internet looking for pictures of me and critiquing my wardrobe. Before I went to do this interview somebody said, "Blake is a fashion darling." All of us can't be fashion darlings, Blake.

LIVELY: Well, people like you make me fashionable, because if there is no wrong there can be no right.

AFFLECK: You've gotten so much more bitchy since we wrapped the film.

LIVELY: But I think you have to say that I'm charming at the end of the interview. I think that's the rule.

AFFLECK: You're very charming.

LIVELY: Actually, I think they usually like to end these interviews on a funny note.

AFFLECK: I'm not sure that I said anything funny. Maybe you did.

LIVELY: Maybe they'll just have someone else redo the interview.

AFFLECK: Okay, then. I'm going to let you go. I can hear the Gossip Girl people banging on your trailer door because you're holding up the whole production doing this interview. This is how you get a bad reputation: You stay on the phone doing interviews.

LIVELY: I'm actually not in a trailer. I'm in a hotel room with no air conditioning. It's very special.

AFFLECK: That's the charm of Europe. What can I say?

LIVELY: That's going to be the quote right there: "Ben Affleck says things don't work well in Europe."

Blake Lively 'not quitting Gossip Girl'

Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz has denied that actress Blake Lively wants to quit the series.

It was previously reported that Lively had become tired of behind-the-scenes arguments and had asked producers for a "dramatic exit".

However, Schwartz wrote on his Twitter feed: "Have to respond. No truth to rumors that BL [Blake Lively] requested to have Serena killed. All is well."

The actress has played Serena van der Woodsen since the show began in 2007.

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively is reportedly threatening to quit the show.

According to Heat magazine, the actress has become tired with constant behind-the-scenes arguments and wants to kill off her character Serena Van Der Woodsen.

An unnamed source said: "Blake has asked producers to kill off her character. She’s tired of working on the show. It was great at the beginning, but she’s started to get bored of her storylines and all the petty fights on set.

"Nearly all the cast members have had some kind of bust-up. Besides the fact that she gets to work with her boyfriend [Penn Badgley, who plays Dan Humphrey], Blake wants to leave."

Lively has reportedly asked for a "dramatic exit" and has made suggestions to the show's producers about how Serena could die.

Green Lantern 2 Already in Works

Director Martin Campbell's "Green Lantern" adaptation may be almost a year away, but Warner Brothers and DC clearly seem to think it will be one of their next major franchises.

Variety is reporting that Warner Brothers has already started to move forward on the sequel and has hired Michael Goldenberg to write "Green Lantern 2." Goldenberg is a playwright who has also written screenplays for "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," "Contact," "Peter Pan" and "Where The Wild Things Are." Goldenberg also did a rewrite for the first "Green Lantern" movie, which recently wrapped production in Louisiana.

Back in June, Greg Berlanti, Michael Green and Marc Guggenheim — the original "Green Lantern" screenwriters — were hired by Warner Brothers to write outlines for both "Green Lantern 2" and "The Flash" with an option to write the script for one of those films.

During a recent interview, Berlanti indicated that the trio had already moved on to the script for "The Flash."

Over the last few months, there have been several hints that "Green Lantern 2" was on the fast track. Strange things happen to young girls' faces when you mention that Chace Crawford is in town. They flush and goggle and look like they might cry from happiness. You can practically hear their little hearts beating faster. To them, he is a bona fide, scream-inducing matinée idol. To the rest of us, he's a guilty pleasure, the cherry on the TV ice-cream sundae that is Gossip Girl, the American drama series about toothsome, privileged young Manhattanites and their endless brunch dilemmas – think Edith Wharton, dressed by J Crew.

When I meet Chace, I go to shake hands but he opts for a quick hug, all clean cashmere and taut muscularity. He's so firm across the chest it's like hugging Ken, Barbie's boyfriend. His face, too, is Disney-perfect, with high-coloured cheeks and eyes that actually twinkle. As we walk to our table throughShoreditch House everyone stops eating to eyeball him. Back to your lunch, guys, he's with me.

'This place is awesome!' he says, looking out of the window innocently, affecting not to notice the attention. 'We're in London, so… I might get a pint.' He was taught to say that by his former flatmate and Gossip Girl co-star, the English actor Ed Westwick, who also has him supporting Arsenal. 'We're going to a game on Saturday,' he says. It's nice to see their friendship hasn't been affected by the rumours, spread by Perez Hilton in 2008, that they were a gay couple. Chace has since been linked with starlets including The Kills' Alison Mosshart andTwilight's Ashley Greene, though neither came to anything. 'I've come close but I've not really gone the distance. I haven't had a girlfriend for a while,' he shrugs. 'A girl who strikes a chord comes round once in a blue moon. I'm not the kind of guy to date a girl just for the sake of it. I don't need a girlfriend.'

On Chace's tanned neck I notice something suspiciously like a lovebite. 'That's from paintballing in Dallas last week.' He always gets roughed up by his school friends when he goes home to Texas. 'They remind me I'm just Chace.' Unlike the preposterously preppy Nate Archibald, the blazer-wearing dynast he plays in Gossip Girl, Chace is a down-home Texas-born boy who visited New York for the first time on a school trip aged 16. 'We just did a bunch of touristy stuff.' The next time he came back he was filming the pilot of Gossip Girl, staying at the Gramercy Park Hotel, 'going to the Rose Bar every night, shooting pool. I fell in love with the city.'

Now he is one of New York's icons, with hundreds of fans turning out to watch him filming Gossip Girl on location. Chace confesses that, playing the particularly camp, dramatically febrile scenes, he occasionally collapses into laughter. 'Like when you're walking past someone, and you have to turn and face them in this big dramatic reveal – we would just lose our shit.' Ed Westwick helps him snap out of it. 'Stop it, just stop it now,' says Chace, imitating Ed's English accent.

In the fourth series, Nate finally gets together with the other alpha character, Serena van der Woodsen, played by Blake Lively. 'Yeah, it was always going to happen at some point,' he says (he had already kissed almost every other girl in the show including Blake). 'It would either have to be Serena, or one of the moms or the other guys…'

Chace occasionally flashes a sharp sense of humour. His father is a dermatologist – did that ever come in handy? 'He would give me facewash,' he says. 'I had Botox age nine, that's when we started. And then just the occasional facelift.' Chace graduated from Trinity Christian Academy in Texas and Pepperdine University, a select college inCalifornia with a strong religious creed (he's Southern Baptist, and still goes to church 'from time to time'). He was not always a good student, he admits. 'I have quite a wild imagination, and I can draw. I'd spend a lot of time in class drawing masterpieces of the stupidest things.'

As a child he was diagnosed with ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). He now feels that was unwarranted. 'I don't know, but I don't think I am ADD. Now I'm much more interested in knowledge and learning. I watch a lot of documentaries and news, I have a hunger for that. As a kid, I was more interested in daydreaming and friends.' He was treated with a drug similar to Adderall. 'They used to really overprescribe that stuff.' I must be pulling a horrified face because he tries to lighten the tone, adding wryly: 'Maybe it was good I took a little bit of medication, y'know? To help facilitate my schoolwork.' Shortly after our interview, Chace was arrested for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana. He was back in Texas with a school friend and they were found with an unlit joint. Chace, who denies the charge, is currently out on bail.

The pressure of constant scrutiny seems to weigh heavy on this 25-year-old. Private photos of him with friends, goofing around at parties, have surfaced on the internet. It must be hard for him to go on dates. 'It is, you know. I don't want to sound like I'm bitching, but it's gotten more difficult to connect with people on that innocent, level playing field.' He had a serious girlfriend at high school for three years but since then there's only really been Carrie Underwood, the platinum blonde winner of American Idolin 2005, known for her Country and Western hits such as 'Jesus, Take the Wheel'.

'Being around Texas girls all my life, that's what I'm used to. Maybe it's their charm, the way they're raised, their decorousness. My mom kept the household together, managed everything. We were her life' – Chace has a younger sister Candice, a former Miss Missouri and a TV journalist – 'and that's taught me a lot about what I'm gonna want from a girl eventually. I'm using a French phrase to describe a Texan girl but they have a… je ne sais quoi.'

For the moment, though, there's rien doing. 'I've dated around, but nothing serious. The process of meeting people has gotten pretty abstract. It could be a bit of paranoia thrown in there on my side, just being wary of other people's intentions, or people having preconceived notions of who I am. There's a public perception of you that's created, and that makes things hard. But I just try to be myself, and to hang on to that. I'll figure it out.' Maybe he should try going anonymous online? 'It has crossed my mind. And, y'know, it's funny you mention that,' he says, changing gear into a comic riff: 'I do speed dating on Wednesdays, JDate on Tuesdays. I shouldn't be on JDate, I'm not Jewish…'

It figures that one of his favourite shows is Family Guy, the anarchic comedy cartoon. After meeting the show's creator Seth MacFarlane at a party, he was offered a voiceover role. 'That,' says Chace, 'was more of a dream come true than many things.' They often record several scenes, he says, and the one the official censors allow into the show is usually the tamest version. What gets left out? 'Some of the funnier lines, sometimes, like a guy was in prison and the script was kinda toying with what goes down between the inmates… I get a good kick out of it, it's funny.'

He has also recently completed a starring role in Twelve, a feature film directed by Joel Schumacher that shows the grittier side of New York with Chace playing a lost teen who turns to drug dealing. Kiefer Sutherland has provided the voiceover commentary and Chace finds the idea of an unholy 24/Gossip Girl hybrid amusing. 'XOXO,Jack Bauer over and out,' he growls, breaking into a huge grin.

I must say, Chace Crawford is much better company than I expected. Perhaps because he's so pretty, it's easy to underestimate him. He rattles off a modest reply about looking young for his age and it affecting his 'cast-ability'. (He has a Sarah Palin-like knack for making up words and phrases as he goes, also dropping in 'relatability' and 'conduce that along'.) His acting idols are Leonardo DiCaprio, River Phoenix and Paul Newman, who have also risked being compromised by their good looks. Chace has high thespian ambitions (he talks about acting using the c-word – craft) and would like to move above and beyond kitschy TV dramas. He has just been to see Cate Blanchett in A Streetcar Named Desire off-Broadway. 'She killed it,' he says enthusiastically. He adores musicals, and he also enjoyed The Hurt Locker. 'One day I would love to play a marine.'

Our time is up. Chace leaves behind a quarter of his Margherita pizza. There are teenage girls who would treasure those crusts but to Chace they're just empty carbs. Another good-natured hug and he is whisked away in a company car, off to promote Gossip Girl somewhere else, a performing ray of sunshine.

Season 4 Leaked+"MAJOR Spoilers"

We're weeks away from seeing what happens when Gossip Girl goes Parisian, but for those too antsy to wait for the teenage angst to return, you're in luck: The folks over at SpoilerTV stayed true to their name when they leakedseveral pages of Gossip Girl season 4 call sheets this morning. The call sheets come from the Gossip Girlseason 4 premiere ("Double Identity") as well as the second episode of the season, and contain lots of juicy (and hopefully true) tidbits about what's new with Blair, Serena, Dan, Nate, Chuck and even Vanessa.

The most important thing to know about what's new in Gossip Girl season 4? Please sit down (if you're one of those weirdos who reads articles on the internet while standing up): Blair is back to wearing HEADBANDS. "Jeweled" headbands. Like a queen! (A queen bee?) Anyway: Yaaaaaay!

OK, on to the real spoilers. Did I say spoilers? Yes, SPOILERS. Consider that your alert.

Dan is the father of Georgina Sparks' baby, Milo--or so it seems, though he's yet to go all "Maury" on her and get a paternity test. He also hasn't told Rufus or Lily yet and doesn't plan to, because we ALL KNOW, from so much experience on this show, that keeping secrets from your parents always ends well. Dan: So smart! Always learning from his mistakes, etc. Speaking of mistakes: He let Georgina move in with him, but he's only got eyes for Vanessa.

Vanessa will resist Papa Dan's advances for all of one episode. Then they're back in the sack. But there's some sort of "I Know What You Did Last Summer"-esque intrigue involved with Nate telling Vanessa something about Dan, aaaand ... I'm back to not caring.

While in Paris, Blair has been attempting to get over Chuck by dating French princes (as ya do), and threw Serena in a fountain because of her deep-seated fear that she'll ruin their friendship if Serena attends Columbia. Hey Blair, you know what ruins friendships? Pushing your friends into fountains when they don't want to be in fountains.

Nate's had a busy summer of living like a rock star (and contracting STDs? He's apparently been on antibiotics all summer) and pining over Serena. He's about to spill his sensitive guts to Juliet (Katie Cassidy) who, obviously, he will then bang, and who, moreover obviously, will then turn out to be evil and/or crazy. Duh.

Chuck is alive--but he doesn't want to be Chuck Bass anymore. He's going Jason Bourne-rogue on everyone's asses: New passport, new name, and no more assets. He's left everything, including the Empire Hotel, to Lily.

Unanswered questions:
- Where is Chuck going, and what's his M.O.?
- Is Dan really the father of Georgina's baby? (Haha, NO. Of course not.)
- How does Dan get away with saying things like "I choose you" to girls? (Oh, right. Because it's Vanessa.)
- How will Serena ever manage the grades to stay at Columbia?
- Where's Jenny? And, wherever in the land of misfit dolls she now resides, is she wearing pants?

Here's hoping all these questions get answered when Gossip Girl returns September 13. Until then, what do you think of these spoilers?

When Donna and Brenda, those prissy gals of “Beverly Hills, 90210," headed to Paris …they only got as far as the Universal backlot. Psh! When you’re Serena andBlair, only the real thing will do.

The first two episodes of “Gossip Girl” will feature the besties parading around Paris--the real one. From the Eiffel Tower and Musee d'Orsay to the ultra chic and fashionable avenue Montaigne, the gals are making the rounds and, judging from the sneak peak of footage shown Thursday at the TCA press tour, they may be kissing some boys in the process … or, at least Serena is.

When we left off, little Miss Jenny lost her innocence to Chuck. Dorota welcomed a baby. Dan discovered he fathered a baby (maybe) … it’s hard to say when Georginais involved. Serena remained Nate-less but managed to wake up in bed next to Dan. Blair said “bon jour” to Paris. And the moment that had us clutching our string of fake Forever 21 pearls: a mugger stole Chuck’s would-be engagement ring (for Blair) before shooting the bow-tied, plaid-loving lad!

So what’s next for our favorite Upper Eastsiders? Ed Westwick, who plays Chuck, was joined onstage by executive producers Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran to talk GG. Here’s a small taste of what to expect in the upcoming season. Stop now if you don’t want the gossip!

--Chuck and Blair: Vive le Chuck! Not even a gunshot could keep Chuck down. Cane in tow, Mr. Bass lives on and he’ll have an encounter with Blair in Paris—“I didn’t have to use my school French,” Westwick assured us--that will have “explosive consequences for the rest of the season,” Schwartz said.

--Georgina: Like an outdated outfit hogging valuable closet space, Georgina finds a way out and back into your life. “You will be seeing more of Georgina Sparks in more ways than one,” Savage said.

Gossip Girl Producers Dish On Chuck's Fate, Filming In Paris and Jenny Humphrey's Return

With six weeks to go before the Sept. 13 season premiere ofGossip Girl, producers are beginning to get chatty about the new season and the much-anticipated Paris episodes. In addition to debuting the first footage from the two-episode arc for TV critics Thursday, producers also confirmed-- parlez vous spoilers? -- that, duh, Chuck Bass is totally alive (but he'll be walking with a cane!). They also revealed that scenes were shot at Musee D'Orsay, the Eiffel Tower, Gare du Nord and Avenue Montaigne.

Some other tidbits and teases from executive producers Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz:

-- A giant female music personality is close to signing on for a guest role. "She'll not only preform an original song but will also act with the characters," Savage teases. "She's both new and iconic." (Madonna, perhaps?) Look for the performance during episode seven, right in time for November sweeps.

-- Yes, Dan is seen with Georgina's baby in an early episode. But is the kid, you know, his? Savage isn't being helpful: "Georgina's baby is Georgina's baby," she told us. "And you will learn all as the episodes unfold." But she did promise the show would not be doing "a baby fake-out" and said we'll "be seeing Georgina Sparks in more ways than one." (Wait, is that sign of a twin twist?)

As for what seems to be a teen pregnancy storyline, Savage argues: Not really. "Is Georgina really a teen? I think she might be immortal. She may be 200 years old," Savage says. The storyline will balance laughs and drama, she added: "There's a lot of humor coming from young people trying to deal with this unexpected situation, but there's also a lot of underlying heart and emotion in the story, too."

-- Taylor Momsen's Jenny Humphrey will definitely return next fall. "We wanna keep it up in the air where her character will go," Savage says, once again refusing to spill much. "Obviously she left in a dramatic fashion at end of last season. We’re excited about being able to create some tension about her character. I don’t want to say exactly which episode (she returns), but it’ll be in first half of season."

-- Some more on Chuck, post-shooting: "He has a cane and we discover that he may not have gotten the best medical care possible," Savage says.

-- Sorry, Carla Bruni will not be making a visit to Gossip Paris. Nor will Woody Allen, even though the director "was shooting while we were there," Savage says. "We were hoping we would run across them so we could have a random shot of Woody and Serena crossing the street."

-- What up with Vanessa and Dan? "Vanessa is back from Haiti and she's definitely going to be in the Dan story," Savage says.

-- Savage confirmed a report from earlier this month that the show will do an episode tied toVogue's Fashion's Night Out. Diane von Furstenberg will have a cameo.

-- If Savage gets her way, there'll be more Gossip road trips in the future. "When we came away from Paris, we were like, 'Tokyo!' Now that we’ve done it once, we’re completely arrogant and want to take on all countries. International travel is part of the characters' lives. We’d love to do more of it."

How often do Gossip Girl fans get to see Ed Westwick, in the flesh, speaking with that ridiculously charming British accent and giving Blake Lively a run for the money with how low his neckline can go?

Not often!

But at last night's CW party and today at the Television Critics Press Tour, Ed's bosses Stephanie Savage, Josh Schwartz and Joshua Safron graciously showed up to pony up some info on the upcoming season of G.G....

First though, check out the video of Ed Westwick above for proof of his strong accent and not-so-strong neckline. Seems he's a oui (get it?) bit excited about all the Paris stuff this season, no? We know his "new love" is French actress Clémence Poésy, but when he says "old loves" (are we hearing that right?) does he mean Blair (Leighton Meester)? More than Blair? Thoughts?

Now back to those goodies we promised from today's press tour fun. First, the CW delivered an all new promo from the Gossip Girl premiere in Paris—footage of Chuck and Blair's much-talked about reunion in the City of Love!

B drives by in the lovely black car seen in the twitpic to your right, and—bam!—there's that Basshole standing on the street corner. Their eyes lock. There's a bit of a double take. And that's it.

Josh did reveal during the panel that by the end of G.G.'s Paris run, Chair will come face-to-face (another tease we see in the promo) but it will lead to "explosive consequences" for the rest of the season. Bahhh! Why must you keep doing this us?!

Elsewhere in the Gossip realm, there's all sorts of fabulosity happening. Here are the top seven G.G. spoilers from the day:

1. Why Paris? Why not?! Says Stephanie: "Paris was the ultimate expression of what the show is—fashion, architecture, Blair's father lives there, coffee, lingerie, all a part of the Gossip Girl world." FYI: The first two eps of the season will take place abroad.

2. "Fashion's Night Out" is the third episode of the season, which includes a guest spot from designer Diane Von Furstenberg, plus Italian Vogue and other industry insiders.

3. Josh teased that Katie Cassidy's arc includes lots of "nice, juicy" details. She'll "raise a lot of trouble," he says. Woot!

4. When asked about Michelle Trachtenberg's return, Stephanie teased: "You will see more of Georgina Sparks in more ways than one."

5. Taylor Momsen will be back as Little J sometime in the first half of the season.

6. The in-show Gossip Girl website will be undergoing construction when the season starts. She's gotta get with the 2010 technology, yo. The site will have some never-before-seen technology, too.

7. Stephanie says there's a "definite endgame in mind," but not in the near future. And score one for Josh with this Lost joke: "We know what the Island is...Manhattan."

Blake Lively heats up the Green Lantern carpet in Preen’s Haulster Bra and P.J. Pant at Comic-Con 2010 on Saturday (July 24) held at California’s San Diego Convention Center.

The Gossip Girl actress, who turns 23 next month, shared a bit about one of the stunts she had to perform in her upcoming superhero flick. “I had to train with the rig that they invented for The Matrix,” Blake told JustJared.com. “It’s a gyroscopic rig that’s 30 feet in the air. I think it goes about 20 feet high but I like to say 50, so please spread that rumor. (laughs) It makes me feel cooler! I’m on this gyroscopic waist belt and it works towards your weight. It makes you very nauseous and you can go in every which direction.”

As for the fashion you’ll see in Green Lantern, Blake added, “We didn’t want to connect the movie to any specific time because we didn’t want to date it. So, there are very classic column dresses.”

FYI: Blake is back in New York City already and started shooting scenes for Gossip Girl on Monday morning (July 26).

Ryan Reynolds likes his "Green Lantern" costume, and his co-star Blake Lively likes the tension she gets to be a part of as his love interest and rival Carol Ferris. The "Gossip Girl" actress teased that she looks forward to becoming a "villain" during the San Diego Comic-Con "Green Latern" panel, and she thinks the relationship between Hal and Carol will buck Hollywood trends by having her save him on occasion, but she also thinks "Green Lantern" will stand out among superhero films thanks to its settings on Earth and in outer space.

"Yeah, you do get to see outer space — that's what's so nice about it," Lively told MTV News. "You know, in superhero movies it's either in a specific city on planet Earth or in space, but the fact that you get to go back and forth is something that's a unique thing that you haven't seen in many movies."

As for her character's relationship with Hal Jordan, Lively also enjoys their onscreen competition.

"She's [Hal Jordan's] boss," Lively said. "She's also a fighter pilot. She's only second to him; they're the number two fighter pilots in the world, so she's also his rival, and so it creates a really interesting dynamic and a cool tension."
